What this website collects
This website collects only data about your visit. Depending on the cookie choice you make, that may include:
your IP address;
your device type, operating system and browser;
the pages you viewed and how you moved through the site;
the advertisement, campaign or website that brought you here; and
cookie and similar identifiers.
This website does not collect your name, your contact details or any information about your potential claim.
What the claim form collects
The claim form is a separate step. When you complete it, the information you provide is collected in order to assess your eligibility and to make an introduction to a law firm. That information may include:
your name, date of birth, address, email address and telephone number;
which supermarket you worked for, your job role, your store or location, and your dates of service;
your hours of work and pay details; and
your answers to the eligibility questions, and your agreement to be introduced to a law firm.
We do not ask for special category data, such as information about your health, race or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions or trade union membership. If any such information is needed for your claim, the law firm will collect it from you directly under its own privacy notice.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent to process your personal data, including for non-essential cookies and for making an introduction to a law firm. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything already done on the basis of it, and it does not affect any claim the law firm has already started for you.
Where we are required to keep records in order to meet a legal or regulatory obligation, we rely on that obligation instead.
Who we share it with
We share the information you provide through the claim form with Harcus Parker Limited, an SRA-regulated law firm, so that it can assess your eligibility and, if appropriate, act for you. Harcus Parker Limited is a separate data controller for the personal data it holds about you and your claim, and its own privacy notice applies to it. Harcus Parker Limited pays us a fee for the introduction.
We also share data about your visit with:
our website hosting and analytics providers, who act on our instructions; and
advertising platforms, where you have consented to advertising cookies, so that we can measure how our advertising performs.
We will disclose personal data to law enforcement, a regulator or another third party where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
Where your data is stored
Your personal data is stored in the United Kingdom.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you provide through the claim form for six years, so that we can evidence the introduction we made and meet our regulatory record-keeping obligations.
We keep data about your visit to this website, including analytics and advertising data, for twelve months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, free of charge. This is known as a subject access request, and we will respond within one month. If your request is complex, or if you have made several requests, we may take up to a further two months, and we will tell you within the first month if that is the case. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity before we respond.
You also have the right:
to have inaccurate personal data corrected, or personal data erased;
to object to our processing, or to ask us to restrict it, in certain circumstances;
to ask us to transfer the personal data you have given us to another organisation in a commonly used, machine-readable format; and
to withdraw your consent at any time.
